1. About this Notice

This Notice explains which cookies and browser storage items PlayOnly (the “Service”) places in your browser, what each one is for, and how you can review and delete them.

2. What cookies and browser storage are

A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser. Your browser sends it back when you return to the same site, which lets the site remember things such as whether you are signed in or which settings you chose.

Browser storage (local storage and session storage) also keeps information inside your browser, but it is not sent to the server automatically and can only be read within that browser. Session storage is cleared when you close the tab; local storage stays until you clear it.

3. Cookies the Service uses

All of the cookies below are set by the Service itself and cannot be read by other sites.

This script is not loaded on any other page.

6. Categories

The cookies and storage items the Service uses fall into two categories.

  • ·Strictly necessary: items the Service cannot work without. These are the sign-in cookie (playonly_token) and the 18+ confirmation cookie (playonly_age_ok).
  • ·Functional and preferences: items that remember the choices you make, for convenience. These cover your display language, character list filters, sidebar and panel state, pinned scenes and referral code.

7. No advertising, analytics or tracking

The Service does not use advertising cookies, analytics cookies or cookies that track you across other sites. We do not sell information obtained through cookies or browser storage, or share it with third parties for advertising.

8. Legal basis

Strictly necessary items are essential to provide the service you have asked for, so they are used without separate consent.

Functional and preference items are used only to provide features you use (choosing a language, setting list filters, opening or closing panels, pinning a scene, signing up through a referral link and similar) and for no other purpose.

9. Managing and deleting cookies

You can review cookies and site data in your browser settings, and block or delete them. The steps differ between browsers, so please refer to your browser's help pages. Deleting or blocking cookies has the following effects.

  • ·If you block the sign-in cookie (playonly_token), you cannot stay signed in and so cannot use the Service.
  • ·If you delete or block the age cookie (playonly_age_ok), the 18+ confirmation appears again each time you visit.
  • ·If you clear the other cookies and storage items, settings such as display language, list filters and panel state return to their defaults.

10. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

Some browsers send a signal that you do not wish to be tracked (Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control). The Service does not track you across sites and does not sell personal information, so there is nothing for such a signal to opt you out of.

11. Relation to the Privacy Policy

This Notice sets out in detail the cookie section of the Privacy Policy. For everything else about how personal information is handled, including information processed through cookies, the Privacy Policy applies.

12. Changes to this Notice

If the cookies or storage items the Service uses change, we will update this Notice and publish the effective date and the substance of the change within the Service. Significant changes that disadvantage users are announced at least 7 days before they take effect.

13. Contact
